I DON'T suppose many parents will be comforted by the latest findings of a 12-month investigation which claims the MMR jab is perfectly safe.
The truth is that no matter how many times the Government tell us it is, no matter how many reports back up its claims, the fact remains we don't believe a word Blair & Co say any more. On that basis there isn't a cat in hell's chance that parents will play Russian roulette with their children's lives - not least when we learn that perhaps this Government's keeness on the MMR vaccine could be to do with the fact that it's cheaper than giving three separate injections for measles, mumps and rubella.
And perish the thought this Government would put people's lives at risk for the sake of saving a few bob...
