LAS VEGAS -- Shuffle Master, Inc. (NASDAQ National Market: SHFL) and CARD, a Shuffle Master International Company, announced today that the company has shipped its first orders for the CARD Easy Chipper(R) roulette chip sorting device, marking the first new product developed by CARD that has been released into the market since the acquisition was completed in May 2004.
The first Easy Chipper was purchased by the Casino Munkebjerg Vejle in Denmark, followed by a significant multi-unit order from Burswood International Resort Casino in Perth, Australia.
"The Easy Chipper installation at Burswood represents a significant accomplishment for Shuffle Master and CARD," stated Paul C. Meyer, President and Chief Operating Officer of Shuffle Master, Inc. "As our first foray into the roulette chip sorting market, we are extremely pleased that the Easy Chipper's superior product features are being recognized by casino operators and are resulting in multiple-unit placements."
"After comparing the Easy Chipper to other chip sorting machines available in the market and testing its performance next to these products, Burswood selected the Easy Chipper due to its exceptional performance, reliability and customizable features," stated a Burswood Executive. "We look forward to the installation of the units and passing their superior performance on to our customers through increased roulette customer service and game play."
Developed by CARD, the Easy Chipper is a state-of-the-art chip sorting device that optimizes roulette wheel game play by dramatically increasing the volume of chips sorted. It uses a patented color reading system that accurately sorts up to 10 different color chips while separating non-programmed ones, and uses a smooth continuous spin rate to simplify the chip sorting process.
