A man accused of holding a gun during a game of Russian roulette that ended in the death of his friend was found not guilty of reckless homicide Friday.
Marshall Anderson, 21, of Chippewa Falls, also was found not guilty of homicide by intoxicated use of firearm and on three counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree intentional homicide.
A Chippewa County jury did find him guilty of possessing a short-barreled shotgun, a felony, and of two misdemeanor charges in the incident. Anderson and Steven Geist were playing Russian roulette with a sawed-off shotgun and a .22-caliber rifle in November "to see who was braver," according to court records. Anderson faces up to 31/2 years in prison. His sentencing hearing has not been scheduled.
