CoachArt, a local leader in the drive to
enrich the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses, today
announced a high-stakes celebration for its first annual Casino Night
fundraiser that will be held on Thursday, October 27th.
Over three hundred entertainment professionals, influencers and Hollywood
luminaries are expected to give "lady luck" a run for her money at the
legendary Hollywood American Legion in support of this event that raises
money for chronically ill and underprivileged children.
CoachArt Casino Night is the fourth annual fundraiser for this established
non-profit organization and promises to provide a spectacular evening of
music and thrills. The event features a full scale casino where attendees
can try their luck with play money at poker, craps, roulette or black jack,
compete in a cut-throat poker tournament, bid on fabulous prizes at the
silent auction, sip a cocktail or two, enjoy a variety of passed hors
d'oeuvres and dance the night away.
In addition to all the fun, there are also opportunities to win top line
raffle and door prizes. Tickets are available now with general admission
starting at $60, VIP entrance at $100 and entry to the poker tournament at
$150. Tickets can be purchased online at www.coachart.org/casinonight or by
calling 310.203.2850.
"This is a night for L.A.'s up and coming influencers to come together to
celebrate an important cause, and have a great time doing it," said the
event's co-chair, Maria Stavropoulos. "The event celebrates everything
CoachArt stands for -- optimism, hope and fun."
The kids' take on CoachArt mirrors the sentiments of Ms. Stavropoulos.
"CoachArt has taught me that I can do anything!" says a 9-year old
participant. So, help the kids who love and need this program and come join
in a fantastic night out to help keep this valued program alive.
CoachArt is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated
to improving the quality of life for children with life-threatening
illnesses by providing free, personal lessons in the arts and athletics.
Lessons are donated by coaches and teachers who give their time to ensure
that seriously ill children regain self-esteem, social skills and
independence lost while battling chronic illness. Due to the physical and
financial burdens that these patients and their families endure, CoachArt
is providing a service that would otherwise be inaccessible to them.
CoachArt was created in memory of Dr. Arthur "Art" Lurie, a father, mentor
and surgeon, who devoted his life to the healing and wellness of his
patients. For more information please visit www.coachart.org or call
310-203-2850.
The Hollywood American Legion is located at 2305 N. Highland, Hollywood, CA
90028. The First Annual CoachArt Casino Night will run from 8:00 pm to 1:00
am.
