Lt. Col. Francis (Frank) X. Liston, a resident of Colorado Springs for many years passed away on June 14, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada doing what he enjoyed most after retiring, playing in the blackjack tournaments in Vegas. He was retired from the United States Army after 21 years and then owned ServiceMaster All Cleaning Services, Inc., for 21 years.
Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 12, 1930 to Michael and Margaret Liston, deceased.
While stationed at Ft. Carson, he met Eldona J. Meisner, and they were married on February 27, 1960 in South Bend, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Eldona, and two children, Kevin F. Liston of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Edwina J. (Don) Woelfel of Colorado Springs; and three grandchildren, Cody, (11), Joshua (4) and Hannah, (2-1/2) of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He is survived by two sisters, Helen Harvey of Brooklyn, New York, and Mary Liston, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother, Thomas Liston, preceded Frank.
Services will be held at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1520 E. Yampa on June 24, 2004. Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at 2:00 p.m., at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
The family requests memorial contributions be given in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association, The American Diabetes Association, or Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.
