In what came as a huge surprise to almost everyone watching Raw" on Monday night, just when DX made a return to the WWE, HHH ruined the moment when he nailed Shawn Michaels with the pedigree.
HHH and Michaels had been billed as best friends ever since the King of the Ring. But immediately following the pedigree on Michaels, rumors began to pour in that these two friends would do battle in the upcoming SummerSlam" pay-per-view.
There had been rumors circulating that Michaels felt he had one more big-time match in him. If he were to make a one-time return, why not have it against a friend like HHH, and why not make it at the second-biggest show in the wrestling business?
Already sporting a mammoth main event of the Rock defending the undisputed world championship against Brock Lesner, and a rumored match between Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon, an HHH-Shawn Michaels bout could give SummerSlam" 2002 a triple main event for the ages.
