DRAMA Sex Traffic (9pm C4)
Abi Morgan's gut-wrenching two-part film shows the workings of the traffic in young women as sex slaves in modern Europe. The Romanian actors Anamaria Marinca and Maria Popistasu (above) are movingly believable as Moldovan sisters who make the mistake of answering an advert for a hostessing job in London, and then find themselves trafficked through Serbia, Albania and Italy to the UK, where they meet their potential saviour in John Simm's charity worker. The harsh brutality of the girls' experiences is as one might expect, but an eye-opening aspect of the plot is the complicity of some members of the UN peace-keeping forces in Bosnia.
DOCUMENTARY Horizon (9pm BBC2)
How a bunch of maverick scientists from MIT came up with a winning formula for blackjack, based on a system first devised in the 1950s by Ed Thorp (above). In what would make a good movie, the boffins hit the Las Vegas casinos.
ARTS Big Art Challenge (7.30pm Five)
Brian Sewell (above) and Wayne Hemingway are among the judges in this nationwide search for the next big name in Britain's art world. Doesn't Charles Saatchi decide this sort of thing for us? On offer is pounds 10,000 - that's half a Turner Prize.
