Monday night on "Raw," the Rock will face Booker T with a lot on the line. If the Rock can beat Booker, he has his choice of matches at "WrestleMania" on March 30 in Seattle.
Choice No. 1 is to take the spot Booker T won two weeks ago in the "Raw" Battle Royal against HHH for the World Championship. The other option offered to the Rock by Eric Bischoff on Monday night was to face Stone Cold Steve Austin in the show's main event.
The Rock made it clear the one thing he hasn't done was beat Austin at "WrestleMania." This would be an epic battle between the two biggest stars of the past 15 years. The only stumbling block (other than the Rock having to beat a red-hot Booker T) would be the Rock's desire to win the title again.
However, there is another reason the WWE may be hesitant to commit to its "WrestleMania" matches just yet. If Bill Goldberg signs with the company, the Rock vs. Booker T match could just be a way for the WWE to buy itself a week or two before deciding what to do.
To me, the only possible option is to have Austin interfere on behalf of Booker T on Monday night, costing the Rock his chance at the title while adding fuel to the Rock/ Austin match. And a Rock vs. Goldberg vs. Austin triple-threat match doesn't sound bad, either.
