If you are not convinced by now that "WrestleMania 19" will be the biggest wrestling card in history, it's too late to win you over. For the first time ever, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and HHH all will be on the same card--but can they pull off a show that will live up to expectations?
The most closely watched match will be Lesnar vs. Angle for the WWE championship. Word is, Angle may not be as hurt as many think, with his injury being used as a way to tone down the hype for the match in case it does not come off as a technical wrestling clinic.
Many hope Booker T finds a way to beat HHH. As refreshing as it would be to see the title go to someone else, the pick here is for Hunter to escape with the strap.
Maybe it's just me, but this "WrestleMania" just doesn't have the feel of a media circus. For the first time in 19 years, maybe the performances of the wrestlers will stand out--and not who the guests were or how big the crowd was.
HEARD AROUND THE RING: Goldberg is almost certain to debut Monday night on "Raw." ... Sounds like Kevin Nash is ready for a return to the WWE, and he could be back as Diesel.
HOTLINE: I am backstage at Safeco Field and have up-to-the-minute reports on what surprises the WWE has in store for "WrestleMania." It's only on the hotline: (900) 990-SLAM ($2 per minute).
