Chicago Sun-Times: 'Bad blood' between HHH and Nash

The WWE officially has done away with the "King of the Ring" PPV, and on Father's Day will debut "Bad Blood"--presented by Stone Cold Steve Austin. The "Raw"-only show will feature a World Title rematch as Austin has forced HHH to defend the title vs. Kevin Nash in a "Hell in a Cell" match.

Nash wore out HHH at the "Judgment Day" show and would appear to be an odds-on favorite to win the belt. But HHH has been in the Cell before and has shown the ability to get out of some extremely tight spots as of late.

We have said it here before: Fans really have had enough of the strap around HHH and would love to see anyone take it from him, but I would have to think Goldberg will be the man to do that at "SummerSlam."

Also on the "Bad Blood" show, newly crowned Intercontinental champion Christian will defend the belt against Booker T, Gold-berg will get his hands on Chris Jericho, Test will look to settle a score with Scott Steiner, and I would not be surprised to see La Resistance either get a shot at current tag champs RVD and Kane or have a match that earns them a title shot down the road.

One weak rumor is that Ric Flair will meet Shawn Michaels. As for the "SmackDown" brand, they will unveil their "Vengeance" show on July 27 in Denver.

HEARD AROUND THE RING: Friday marked the fourth anniversary of Owen Hart's tragic death. The WWE did a nice job in remembering Hart on its Web site. ... Sounds like Dr Death Steve Williams could be on his way back to the WWE. Just hoping his tryout matches with Lance Storm go better than The Legion of Doom's did a few weeks ago. ... Rey Mysterio injured his groin at "SmackDown" last week and could miss a few shows or more. ... Look for Val Venis to get quite a push in the coming months. A run as IC champ is not out of the question. ... Rumblings in the NWA-TNA include some of the wrestlers complaining Vince Russo is only pushing the performers he is friendly with. Where have we heard this before? ... Kurt Angle will make his WWE return at the "Smack-Down" tapings on June 3 in Ana-heim, Calif. Angle will return as a heel and will make another run at Brock Lesner and the World Title. ... Earl Hebner suffered a dislocated shoulder when he was sent to the floor by HHH and his sledgehammer at "Judgment Day."
