Partridge, Audrey Jeanne
(Nelson) (nee Stampa) Born July 3, 1928. Born into Eternal Life May 16, 2005, age 76 years. Preceded in death by parents, Rudolph Stampa and Elda Dickey; brother, Allan Stampa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Dorothy Zurawski; husband, George W. Nelson and Herbert Partridge. Survived by children, Tom (Diane) Nelson, Deb (Tony) Ankowicz, Rick (Teri) Nelson and John (Jacki) Nelson; grandchildren, Eric and Adam (Kristin) Nelson, Bree, David, Chris and Katie Ankowicz and Ben Nelson, Jessica and Max Nelson, Alex, Kayla and Michael Nelson; great-grandson, Dorian Nelson; sister-in- law, Alice Stampa. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Audrey graduated from Whitefish Bay High School. She worked at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls in the business office for many years. She was a founding member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls. Audrey moved to Madison when her health began to decline in 1997 to be near her daughter, Deb. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Madison. Special "thanks" to Krista Pfister, case worker, South Madison Coalition; Ping and Sam Li and all the staff at Cherry Home; Verona and her wonderful friends, Hans and Dorothy Habermehl, Bob and LaVern Langer and Judy Burgess. Audrey so enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, watching movies and playing blackjack at Ho Chunk in addition to family get togethers. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association and the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics- American Family Childrens Hospital Building Fund appreciated.
