MARIETTA, GA. -- Buffalo's Southwest Cafe, based here, signed a 10-year development agreement calling for Mark Hagwood, a McAlister Dell franchisee, to open restaurants in Mississippi and Louisiana.
Baton Rouge, La.-based Hagwood Restaurant Corp., whose first Buffalo's Southwest Cafe unit would open next year in Jackson, Miss., agreed to open at least three more branches per year. Hagwood currently operates five McAlister's Dell outlets in Louisiana.
Separately, Buffalo's, which operates or franchises 40 restaurants in 10 states, Puerto Rico and Kuwait, was scheduled to reintroduce its popular Outlaw Burger on June 6 for a limited time. The $6.99 item comes in Tex-Mex, Blackjack, Chili Cheese or Mushroom Swiss varieties. All contain a half-pound of Angus beef and are served with seasoned curly fries.
