Chicago Sun-Times: There's no stopping Kane, who's still out of control

You can blame Rob Van Dam, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Eric Bischoff, HHH, Ric Flair, Mick Foley, all or any of them. But one thing is certain: Kane has totally lost control in the WWE.

It all started when the Big Red Machine lost his title match to HHH a few weeks ago and was forced to remove his mask. Kane immediately felt everyone was making fun of him and started a tirade that still is sending waves of fear through the WWE locker room.

One week after the unmasking, Tommy Dreamer and Rico were unsuspecting victims of Kane assaults. The next week, RVD was thrown through a wall. Two weeks ago, announcer Jim Ross was set on fire during an interview. But this past week on "Raw"--despite being under house arrest--Kane went too far.

After destroying what was left of Van Dam in their match, the carnage made its way up the ramp to the "Raw" entrance. When it became obvious that about a dozen WWE officials had no chance to settle down the big man, WWE chief executive Linda McMahon stepped in, hoping her authority over the company would calm Kane down. Unfortunately for Linda, Kane became more enraged and put Vince's wife in the tombstone pile driver on the metal ramp.

Come Monday night, there clearly will be major repercussions for Kane, but one has to wonder if there is anything that can slow this man down. Immediately, the idea of the Undertaker coming to "Raw" to handle the mess of his brother is a possibility that comes to mind, but Taker will have his hands full with John Cena at the upcoming "Vengeance" pay-per-view. The whispers in the back tell me that Shane McMahon might be making an appearance in the next week or so to try and gain a measure of revenge after what happened to his mother. Shane had a public falling-out with his father over business and has not been seen for some time, but I would have to assume that Shane would be willing to make a return to WWE TV to seek revenge for what happened to his mother.

HEARD AROUND THE RING: After seeing Goldberg confront HHH last week, it is official that these two will face off for the WWE "Raw" championship at "SummerSlam." ... Billy Gunn vs. Jamie Noble and a tag-team title match between champions Haas and Benjamin and challengers Mysterio and Kidman have been added to the "Vengeance" PPV. I would expect to see Kidman turn on Mysterio in this one, setting up a match at "SummerSlam." ... So far, Kane has meant big ratings for the WWE. His match with RVD drew a program-high 5.2 rating.
