Chicago Sun-Times: Not everyone's happy with Shane vs. Kane

Monday looking to gain a measure of revenge against Kane. Obviously angry over the treatment of his mother the week before, Shane took matters into his own hands, and with the help of a steel chair seemed to have knocked Kane down a few pegs at the end of "Raw."

Unfortunately for Shane, Kane seemed to be laughing at the attempt, and no doubt will hunt down the younger McMahon in the coming weeks. We hear now that these two could be facing off at "SummerSlam," but that is where the story gets interesting. Rumor is that some of the boys in the back are unhappy with the fact that Kane has been built up as an unstoppable force, destroying everyone in his path over the last few weeks (including most notably Rob Van Dam), yet will be put to the test by a man with fewer then 10 career matches under his belt.

In reality, with Vince McMahon now by his side, Kane is unstoppable. But that does not make for a good "SummerSlam" match, so Shane will get his chance to shine again. In fairness to Shane O Mac, he has been one of the most entertaining WWE stars when given an opportunity. He will have his chance against Kane.

HEARD AROUND THE RING: After the HHH vs. Goldberg match was announced for "SummerSlam," Helmsley was injured in a post-TV brawl Monday night. Sounds like the SS main event is very up-in-the-air right now, and I hear the Rock could be called in for a match with Chris Jericho just to spice up the card. ... Paul Heyman is close to getting his medical clearance and could be back on WWE TV in a few weeks. ... Look for Lance Storm to get a tag-team partner in the coming weeks that will try to lift the boring tag from Storm. The WWE brass haven't figured out who that is just yet. ... On a recent radio interview, Hulk Hogan said he would love to return to the WWE for a match at "WrestleMania XX" and said it is up to Vince McMahon if he is going to return. ... "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels made his return to NWA/TNA television Wednesday and will begin a feud with Jeff Jarrett.
