If there was any piece of you left that felt like Vince McMahon (the character) cared about his family, the last seven days should be enough evidence to prove that is not the case.
It is up to the individual to determine which act is the worst. Is attempting to join forces with Kane one week after The Big Red Machine tombstoned Linda McMahon better or worse than kissing Sable on national TV? Which is worse, taking a swing at son Shane or sending daughter Stephanie into a match with the A-Train?
In the last week, Vince has denounced his son, physically harmed his daughter and in front of millions of television viewers stated that marrying his wife was the biggest mistake he ever made. Unfortunately for Vince, as history tells us, Mr. McMahon should be getting his in the end. But how long that will take and what it will do to the remaining fans is a question worth asking.
Many people in the industry felt as if the story line that saw Eric Bischoff breaking into the McMahon house and propositioning Linda before kissing her was stepping a bit over the line. It might sort itself out this weekend at SummerSlam, when Shane and Bischoff meet in the ring. Shane has a clear advantage, but it could be some friends outside the ring that make the difference.
Also on the show, Brock Lesnar challenges SmackDown champion Kurt Angle, the Undertaker will face A-Train, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrerro, Tajiri and Rhyno will face off for the U.S. title, The Dudleys challenge La Resistance, Rob Van Dam get his hands on Kane, and HHH will be forced to defend his world title in the elimination chamber against Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Randy Orton and Goldberg.
HEARD AROUND THE RING: Last week Raven won the opportunity to face A.J. Styles for the NWA-TNA World title. Raven has looked strong lately and could be leaving with the gold Wednesday night. ...
