Despite being a multiple-time champion, the Big Show is one of the most dominant wrestlers in history who never has been in command over a prolonged period of time. But maybe now the Big Show is on the verge of a historic run in the WWE.
At over 7 feet tall and more than 500 pounds, years of matches and travel have taken their toll, and he must realize there aren't too many years left in the ring. Following his most recent injury, the Show came back bigger and stronger than ever -- and more importantly, motivated. If that wasn't enough to scare everyone, Kurt Angle decided to wake a once-sleeping giant even further -- and after shooting the Show with a tranquilizer gun, proceeded to shave his head.
After being humiliated, the Big Show was in rare form following the "SmackDown" fifth-anniversary program and was vowing revenge on not only Angle and Luther Reigns, but anyone on the WWE roster who stands between the Big Show and the World title.
A few years ago, the Undertaker tried to take the Show under his wing and lead him to the top of the WWE, but the Taker soon tired of the unpredictable and inconsistent student. But this time could be different, as it appears the Big Show is looking to secure his place as one of the most dominating champions in wrestling history.
AROUND THE RING: Ray Traylor, better known to fans as the Big Boss Man, died suddenly last week. The Boss Man had numerous runs in main- event matches in the WWE, and he was a PPV mainstay during the 1990s. ... The season debut of "Monday Night Raw" drew a 3.7 rating last week -- same number as the week before. Some in the business considered this to be a failure.
