The next Raw pay-per-view is in late June, and SmackDown's Judgment Day is a week away, so this is a good time to get fans caught up on some odds and ends from around the wrestling world.
The Rock and Vince McMahon have put their differences aside, and the People's Champ" could make his return to WWE at any time. Some wrestling fans have hoped the Rock's movies would bomb so that he might return to the ring full time. But he is big business in Hollywood and probably is done wrestling except for scattered appearances.
WWE released Luther Reigns last week as roster cuts continue. Word is that Reigns might have asked for his release to handle other matters in Arizona, including tending to some businesses he owns. Most of the wrestlers let go have left on good terms and could be back in the future. More cuts should be coming as WWE gets closer to the draft and the booking team has a better idea of who will be needed going forward.
TNA Wrestling is allowing its talent to appear at the ECW One Night Stand," meaning Raven, who was a huge star in ECW, can be on hand. ... Dusty Rhodes has resigned as lead booker for TNA. No replacement has been named. ... Kevin Nash has been mentioned as a possible replacement, but he is in China filming a movie.
