Hotel & Motel Management: Carlson Hotels

The following award recipients were named by Carlson Hotels:

* Sean Shannon, general manager of the Radisson on John Deere Commons in Moline, Ill., received the Radisson Hotel & Resorts Esprit Award for best general manager.

* The Pinnacle Award was presented to the Radisson Plaza Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

* Catalina Lopez Velazquez, front desk supervisor at Park Plaza Las Vegas Lady Luck Casino Hotel, was selected as Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts Employee of the Year.

* Country Inns & Suites by Carlson presented its 2003 Presidential Award to the Country Inn & Suites in Lake City, Fla. Nick Patel is the owner.

* Mike De Prez, general manager of the Country Inn & Suites in Chattanooga, Tenn., received the Country Inn & Suites General Manager of the Year award.

* Larry Wozniak, general manager of the Park Inn in Stevensville, Mich., was awarded the General Manager of the Year award for Park Inn Hotels.
