Las Vegas
Paris Las Vegas, a Caesars Entertainment resort, will install automatic minibars from Bartech Systems International in all 2,619 guestrooms in October. The hotel selected advanced minibar functionality including a personal digital assistant-based refill application and the ability to customize the minibar cabinetry. The deal represents Bartech's first contract with Caesars Entertainment. It supplies automated minibars to two other large casino hotels in Las Vegas, as well as casino properties in Florida, California and Connecticut. Following the installation, Bartech will have its automated minibars in more than 12,000 casino hotel rooms in the United States. The Bartech system does not require a paper refill report to be printed by attendants servicing guest-rooms. Minibar attendants visit only those rooms where minibar products have been picked up for consumption by guests, and use a handheld PDA to display refill requirements electronically. The PDA synchronizes with software that passes rebate information directly into the property-management system and on to the guest folio in real-time. No manual rebate postings are required.
