Chicago-area poker players will be delighted to know that Resorts East Chicago, along with radio partners Q101 and The Loop, will be hosting the $1 million Chicago Poker Championship on Aug. 1-14 in the casino's poker room.
Daily satellite tournaments with an entry fee of $75 will be held starting Aug. 1 for a chance to advance to the championship round Aug. 13-14, which will feature world-famous poker pro Annie Duke, winner of the 2004 World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions. The cost to enter the championship round is $2,700 and will be limited to the first 140 players to register.
Additional daily tournaments featuring cash prizes will be held Aug. 3-12.
