High Speed Motorsports Inc. has signed the Barrick Gaming Plaza hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and High Speed Steel Treating to its two-car Nostalgia Top Fuel team. The new companies join MasterCam as sponsors of the cars to be driven by Mendy Fry and Sean Bellemeur.
High Speed Motorsports, formed in May 2004, will make its next appearance at the Nightfire Nationals at Idaho's Firebird Raceway Aug. 12-15. Fry and Bellemeur will make their driving debut at the California hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield Oct. 1, and the Barrick Gaming Plaza hotel and Casino is planning a huge fan promotion around the event.
"We are really excited about the opportunities that this new venture will bring to our team," said High Speed Motorsports Chief Executive Officer Tom Shelar. "Both HSM and Barrick Gaming are extremely pleased to have first-class equipment and two young, talented, and personable drivers to represent them. This is a multi-year deal, and we plan to completely jell during the remainder of this season and put on a full-court press to win the 2005 VRA championship."
