In a "just for fun" trip, Photographic Society of America (PSA) members can take a cruise to the 49th state next June with fellow photographers! Yes, planned for PSA members and friends is a trip on the MS Oosterdam of the Holland America cruise line--a super time from Seattle to the great state of Alaska and return.
The 7-day Alaskan Explorer cruise via Hubbard Glacier and Yakutat Bay leaves from Seattle at 5 p.m. on June 4th and will stop in Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan as well as an evening stop in Victoria, BC, then returns to Seattle at 7 a.m. on June 11th. You will cruise up close to the face of the largest glacier in North America on the trip and can take optional shore excursions in the 4 ports on this trip. Think of the possibilities from which you can choose: a trip to a native village, a helicopter flight, an Alaskan-style salmon bake, sea kayaking in one or two ports, a glacier and whale quest, a trip to famous Butchart Gardens in British Columbia's capitol city, or some other choice.
On-board fun is classic cruise excitement (two swimming pools, casino, spa, nightclub, fitness center), and the food is non-stop with a two-story dining room, Terrrace Grill, casual Windstar Cafe, the Lido Restaurant, and on the Oosterdam is a special reservations--only restaurant. You just can't go hungry on this cruise!
PSA will have a get together room on the ship where we can pick up tips on what might make good photo opportunities as well as meeting PSA friends.
Don't miss this one. You can join in this PSA cruise by checking with Jeffrey at the Cruise Web (http:// www.cruiseweb.com) 1-800-377-9383, extension 294 and tell him you want the June 4th cruise with PSA members. But hurry!
