AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Fuddruckers, parent of more than 250 hamburger restaurants, said a franchisee, Park Lane of New Orleans LLC, would open the company's first location in a casino. The Fudds Express in Harrah's Casino in downtown New Orleans was slated to open by mid-July, according to Dino Chavez, Fuddruckers' franchise sales manager.

Fuddruckers, whose system already includes two "express" shops in malls, also signed a deal with The Pittsburgh Fudd Corp. to open three units in Pittsburgh.

In March and April Fuddruckers opened four new franchised restaurants, in Beavercreek, Ohio; Royal Oak, Mich.; Janesville, Wis.; and Miami.
