Edmond-based HRLogix has launched a Web site - www.katrinagaming.com - to help find work for gaming workers displaced in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
Maryann Gagnon, HRLogix president, said several casinos were destroyed in Louisiana and Mississippi leaving more than 10,000 gaming workers without employment.
Thousands of people in the gaming industry are out of a job as a result of this tragedy, said Gagnon. The paperless hiring systems our company is known for, as well as our national network of over 140 casino clients, puts us in a unique position to offer rapid job relocation assistance to the recovery effort - especially to those in the gaming industry.
Job applicants can view a pool of available gaming positions available at 140 casinos.
Our goal is to offer support to our clients and their employees that have been affected, and give back to the industry that has been so good to us, said Gagnon.
The Web site will be available to job-seekers beginning today.
