GROWERS AND consultants interested in the latest in technology for site-specific soil and crop management need to attend the newest conference for southeastern agriculture - InfoAg Mid-South.
This inaugural event will be held at Grand Casino in Tunica, MS, February 7-9, and will focus on helping growers and consultants apply new technology and techniques to growing cotton, rice, soybeans, and other crops of the region.
The Conference is supported by the Foundation for Agronomic Research and the Potash & Phosphate Institute. The program will be headlined by leaders in the development of technology for use in the Mid-South, including panels of grower and consultant practitioners who have already experienced significant success in generating better profitability and increased efficiency.
Technologies to be featured include automatic steering, precision pest management, yield monitors, and remote sensing. Topics will include field management and variable rate nutrient application, building a database from public and private field data, the economics of site-specific management, and much more.
