LAS VEGAS -- A group led by Robert Earl, chief executive of Orlando, Fla.-based Planet Hollywood International Inc., finalized their deal to acquire the Aladdin Resort and Casino here for conversion to the Planet Hollywood brand. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The other joint venture partners are Bay Harbour Management LC and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. The property would continue to operate as the Aladdin Resort and Casino during a renovation, which is expected to be completed by early 2006, when the renamed Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino would emerge with a new facade and updated dining and entertainment venues.
