SEATTLE - Thanks to Cutter & Buck, selecting the perfect apparel for every type of weather is about to get easier: new technical fabrics and a descriptive naming system for them are the key themes in Cutter & Buck's 2005 apparel collection.
For 2005, C&B has grouped all of its advanced fabrications into a new product line with clear names and matching icons. Under the newly trademarked Cutter & Buck CB ProTec System, customers will find styles sorted by the moisture managing CB DryTec icon, the wind resistant CB WindTec icon, the inclement weather CB WeatherTec icon, the UV-protecting CB SunTec icon, and the temperature regulating CB ThermaTec icon.
According to Cutter & Buck CEO Tom Wyatt, "Consumer interest in technical fabrics is stronger than ever before and continues to grow. The new Cutter & Buck CB ProTec System delivers a full range of advanced fabrications, and each performance category is clearly identified so the consumer can select the right style for any weather."
Cutter & Buck showcased its new products to promotional products distributors in a series of private fashion shows during the PPAI Expo in Las Vegas, held in the House of Blues Foundation Room, high atop the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. Cutter & Buck's sales staff served as the models during the shows, where Brian Thompson, vice president of the corporate division at Cutter & Buck, announced to attendees that 2004 corporate sales rose 6 percent over 2003.
Despite selling to fewer than 5 percent of promotional products distributors in a limited distributor-sales model, Cutter & Buck ranked No. 20 in ASI's 2004 list of the Top 40 Suppliers in the industry.
