Real Estate Weekly: You're hired: Trump awards hotel work to BBGM

Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts has selected Brennan Beer Gorman Monk Interiors to design renovations to two of the company's signature properties, Trump Marina Hotel Casino and Trump Taj Mahal, both located in Atlantic City, NJ.

New York City-based BBGM will bring glamorous 1920s style to the Trump Marina, designing new schemes for the 500 guestrooms, as well as two new restaurants and updating the casino and hotel atrium. Trump Taj Mahal's 179 Viceroy and Sultan Suites will receive new carpet, wall covering, drapery, furniture and more, creating a truly elegant Indian-inspired experience for guests.

Both projects are currently in design, with installation of all new elements scheduled to be complete by July 1 for the Trump Taj Mahal. The renovation to the Trump Marina will take place in two phases, with all elements completed by the first quarter of 2006. The total cost of the two renovations will exceed $12 million.

"The clientele visiting Atlantic City has become more discerning, and our designs feature fresh new interiors for these properties that respond to the enhanced expectation of guests for environments that are elegant yet exciting."

Taking cues from Indian motifs and inspired by the romance of the British colonial era, the redesigned suites at Trump Taj Mahal will feature a neutral color palette of taupe and chocolate accented by surprising notes of fuchsia. The renovated accommodations will bring luxury and fantasy together.
