THE STRIP AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY, Las Vegas (April 9) - Cory LeClair outran Dana Young to claim Super Pro during the Jerry's Nugget Championship Drag Racing Series points race.

Bob Moudree claimed top Pro honors, and Suzanne Adamson won the Street final. Dave Phillips won Motorcycle, and Bill Dudley claimed yet another Sport Compact trophy. Gary Combs won the West Coast Corvette Challenge. All winners received gift certificates to Uncle Angelo's Pizza Joint, located inside Jerry's Nugget Casino.

Jerry's Nugget Reaction Time bonuses were awarded to Dudley (Sport Compact), Barb Walsh (Street), Bill Muller (Pro), Phillips (Motorcycle), and Paul Elms (Super Pro). The award is given to the driver with the best reaction time on a winning run during the first round of competition.

The morning's Meadow Gold NHRA Jr. Dragster Series presented by Short Line Express Markets races were cancelled due to weather. - John Bisci
