The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians recently unveiled plans for the new Pearl River Resort. Already on the central Mississippi site are Silver Star Hotel & Casino, Mississippi's only land-based casino; Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, with two par-72 courses; and Choctaw Town Center.

The first phase of the expansion will add the new Golden Moon Hotel & Casino with 572 guest rooms, a 90,000-square-foot casino with 24-hour Las Vegas-style games, and seven restaurants. The Golden Moon, expected to open in mid-2002, will be connected to the Silver Star via a skybridge.
