The NHRA Northeast Division National Open Series presented by Sony/PCRichard.com will feature a new category in 2005, Foxwoods Top Sportsman. The class, which has proven its popularity elsewhere, will be showcased at this year's Dutch Classic at Maple Grove Raceway Oct. 14-17.
"We are very pleased to introduce this new class within our division because we feel it will add a completely new element of racing to our competitive Sportsman racing program," said Bob Lang, NHRA Northeast Division director. "We appreciate the effort by racer Mick Smallridge and Maple Grove's Lex Dudas to complete this partnership agreement."
Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., is the world's largest casino and is owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. For information, call the Northeast Division office, (215) 343-2558; Maple Grove Raceway, (610) 856-7812; or Smallridge, (860) 312-3000, ext. 33801.
