Farther west, and originally scheduled to open in September, the Guggenheim venues in Las Vegas, the Hermitage Guggenheim Museum and Guggenheim Las Vegas, are now set to open on Oct. 7. Both museums, located at the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, were designed by architect Rem Koolhaas [see "Front Page," Dec. '00]. The inaugural exhibitions include "Masterpieces and Master Collectors" at the Hermitage Guggenheim, and "The Art of the Motorcycle" at the Guggenheim Las Vegas.
