The Baton Rouge Business Report has attempted to inventory the leasable office space in Baton Rouge for the 2004 edition of the Office Space Directory. The city has been divided into seven major business sectors and then mapped to show key streets. Some of the buildings listed may not have any space for lease currently but were included to present an overall picture of the city's commercial space development.

Excluded from the listings are office/warehouses, individual condominiums and retail facilities that may include office space.
The information included in this report was gathered directly from the individuals listed as rental contacts and other industry sources. No attempt was made to independently verify information provided by these contacts. However, this information was deemed to be as complete and accurate as possible as of June 10, 2004. It is inevitable that some commercial space has been overlooked, but no omission was intentional. Also, in cases where the rental contact did not respond to requests for information, the data from 2003 were included with an asterisk.
These listings are intended only to be a general guide as to the amount of space available in the Baton Rouge area and the rental rates being quoted for those spaces.

This column provides information on whom to contact for additional information. In some cases, owners may manage the building and lease space. TOTAL SQUARE FEET NUMBER OF FLOORS
Total square footage and number of floors refer to the actual size of the buildings. Some buildings use a portion of the space for the owner's purpose and lease the rest.

This category is to let those who might be interested in or looking for space know whether there is any square footage actually available for lease in a given building. If provided by the contact, the amount of space available is also indicated.
RENTAL RANGE
This is a negotiable figure naming a dollar amount per rentable square foot. Prices represent a fair estimate of value, with other influential factors such as market competition and amenities included.
