It's hard to get lost in a city where the tourist destinations are beacons. Here you can see the giant clown in front of Circus Circus, or a copy of the Great Pyramid, or--look, there s the Eiffel Tower! Though gambling is inextricably associated with Las Vegas, the city has outgrown its connotations of Rat Pack swingers around smoky blackjack tables. Today, those who cater to tourists seek to show everyone a good time whether they gamble or not. Entertainment has always been a top priority in Las Vegas, and since the demographic appeal of the city has broadened, dance is no longer restricted to the narrow category in which Nudes on Ice resides. There are still glamorous, scantily-clad showgirls and guys like Chippendales, but there is a lot more. Las Vegas has its own ballet company, family entertainment, many dance instructors and studios, and extensive opportunities and resources for dancers.
