* It's time to stop holding the Super Bowl in preselected (and supposedly neutral) warm-weather venues. Right now, few real fans have the opportunity to go to the game. Play the Super Bowl in one of the two teams' cities, and you'll return the game to the red fans--to whom it rightfully belongs.
Stephen V. Gilmore, Charlotte; N.C
* How can your list of winning point guards (TSN, January 19) not include Devin Harris, who has led Wisconsin to two consecutive Big Ten titles? Next time, give Harris some praise for not only being one of the most explosive players in the nation, but for being a proven winner.
Tom Ziemer, New London, Wis.
* Pete Rose the baseball player obviously was good enough to be voted into the Hall of Fame, but Pete Rose the man is a gambling, lying, remorseless soul (TSN, January 19). I have no problem voting the memory of Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame--after he passes away.
John Chadwick San Francisco
* Has anyone considered how many fans will walk away from baseball if Pete Rose is considered for the Hall of Fame? Am I the only one who will never put out another penny for anything associated with the game if he is let in?
Bob Readinger, Cleveland
* Did Pete Rose ever cork his bat, choke his boss, assault a fan, drink like a fish, fail a drug test, or even throw a game that he either played in or coached? Other players have done those things, but they haven't been banned from the Hall of Fame. What does more damage to the youth of today: betting on a team or snorting cocaine at 4 a.m.
J. Scott Cameron, Pataskala, Ohio
* Your so-called experts all picked the Eagles over the Panthers in the NFC championship game (TSN, January 19). Not one picked the Panthers. Maybe they should find jobs better suited to their abilities, such as predicting the weather on the nightly news.
