A new survey carried out by Internet intelligence company NetValue has found that online gaming in the UK is on the increase.

The research also revealed that 3.5m UK users visited an online gaming site in March 2002, 1m up from the previous year. These figures mean that 22% of the online population in the UK visited a gaming site in that month.

The only European country to have a higher percentage of its online population visit gaming sites was Spain with 25%. Third was France followed by Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden then Italy.
