Gambling in Nevada increases designed freeway capacities, increases highway maintenance and increases cost of law enforcement. Traveling to gamble means more speeding, intoxicated drivers and accidents. Gambling addiction costs Utah in theft, divorces, bankruptcies, missed work, child and spousal abuse. Money spent gambling isn't spent or invested in Utah. In the fertile fields of the gaming industry, Nevadans get the wheat and Utahns get the chaff.
