AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Irish budget airline Ryanair has said that it will no longer offer a paid in-flight entertainment system.
According to the airline, the reason for the removal of the services was a lack of demand from its customers. The system has been on trial in some aircraft since November 2004 and Ryanair said that it has decided not to introduce the system in the rest of the fleet.
Ryanair has not lost any money on the system that was on trial in five aircraft, according to Reuters, and is now considering in-flight gambling as a possible source of income.
