S&W's "re-invigorated" engraving department, under the leadership of Tony Miele, is bringing back the good old days of S&W engraving. Tony sent me this photo of one of their recent projects. Called the "Texas Hold'em" Model 36, it's a very traditional round-butt Mdl. 36 .38 Special but with a Texan-touch. The gambling theme is carried from the gun into the presentation case, and makes a very cool package. Tony says they're available right now on a very limited basis. Serial numbers will be in the TEX0000 range and up. Look for more about S&W's engraving department in a feature a bit later, www.smith-wesson.com.
