Every now and then, we like to check hi with old friends who have appeared in the Monthly's pages. One such individual is Bill Bennett, the morals czar and former education secretary extensive and expensive gambling habits we revealed about one year ago Bennett has been laying low ever since, but now he's gone to disgraced conservatives' heaven Yep, talk radio. In early April, Bennett debuted as the host of "Morning in America"--get it?--a three-hour 'talk show airing free days a week in some 20 media markets, joining the likes of G. Gordon Liddy on the nation's airwaves. We also hear from a very highly-placed source that CNN is a little more reluctant to book James K. Glassman, the ubiquitous financial and politics pundit, since the Monthly revealed that a Web magazine he hosts, Tech Central Station.com, is published by a lobbying firm and funded in part by that firm's clients. On the other hand, Glassman has been sparring a lot with Lou Dobbs lately.
